Families Learning Together / Connecting Education
Families Learning Together is a FREE program designed to motivate families to self-learning by:
*offering a choice of interactive hands on learning activities for children
*encouraging parent involvement in their children's education
*increasing parents "self-skills" in order to assist children in educational and life skills
*offering after school tutoring sessions for children
*offering Family Learn and Fun Night every other Thursday night for families
*Parents must take an interest in their child's learning habits and instruction
*Parents must take a non pass or fail test for enrollment and participate in adult education program at least 4 hours a month
*Parents must be willing to work interactively with children at least 4 hours pre month and complete assigned backpack activities
*Parents must provide school progress reports to family literacy instructor and attend parent/teacher conferences
*Child must meet school's attendance policy
